Today she sat down with GB News, a British news channel, to talk about the adult industry. She had a lot of positive things to say, like “When you’re on set, you are treated like royalty” and “It’s the only industry I know of where women get paid more than men.”
But she wasn’t just there to talk about how porn is a fantasy and not reality. What she was really there to talk about was accessing said porn. It’s her opinion that you shouldn’t be able to view porn unless it’s behind a paywall.
Many years ago, there were two basic types of websites, a membership site and a free site, but to access the free site, you had to first go through AVS, an age verification service, with your credit card. No, it wasn’t a perfect system, but it still allowed porn to be behind a paywall.
I’m not sure that’s possible, but there is a solution that many companies are starting to introduce. Sites like NetVerify use advanced AI to prove a person is who they say they are and that they are, in fact, over 18 years of age.
This way, when a person is about to view porn or sell it, you can say with a fair amount of confidence the person is who they say they are.
Sites like OnlyFans use it. They require all content creators to go through the process, and they have also started to make all new end users to go through the process as well. Webcam companies like Chaturbate have also started using it.
It’s the one sure-fire way to make sure everyone making and looking at porn is of age.

I get why you need it for content creators and those uploading to tubes but why do fans need to verify their identity to view porn? That’s some 1984 shit right there.
…because it’s generally illegal to distribute adult material to minors. Like it’s also generally illegal to sell booze to minors, let them into strip joints, or give them credit cards. I assume you refer to the Orwell novel and not the Van Halen album. The book is about the extremes of surveillance and totalitarianism. So I aver that your analogy misses the mark. Maybe try a new one.
