Meet the new boss . . . definitely not the same as the old boss
Online entertainment company Byborg Enterprises, headed by Karoly Papp and registered in Luxembourg, announced its acquisition of Canadian adult conglomerate Gamma Entertainment.
We’ve known this was coming for a while. Gamma has been drowning in debt for a long time, and many insiders lay the blame on the Adult Time business model.
If the name Karoly Papp sounds familiar, that might be because Papp and his partners are connected to WebGroup (WGCZ Holding) — a Czech corporation that owns not only XVideos, LiveJasmin, BangBros, Flirt4Free, Xnxx, and Private, but also DDF Network — the biggest company in Budapest — and LegalPorno, one of the biggest studios in Europe.
And of course, Web Group purchased Penthouse for $11.2 million in 2018.
Gamma manages top adult brands including premium subscription service Adult Time, Wicked Pictures, X Empire and more. “This acquisition will enable Byborg to expand its network of industry leading platforms. The two companies share the same values and vision for the future, including a commitment to compliance and a shared desire to make the industry safer for both creators and consumers,” said a Byborg rep.
Management at Gamma Entertainment will remain in place to ensure continuity, with the exception of president and founder Karl Bernard, who will be stepping down. His “legacy” will continue through the ongoing work of his team, who will collaborate closely with Byborg Enterprises SA.
Unfortunately, part of his legacy is also having bowed to Bree Mills’ desire to consolidate power by forcing out everyone who knew how to make a movie that audiences were willing to pay to see: Craven Morehead, Joanna Angel, Axel Braun, Alan X, Mike Quasar, et al.
Of course, we have seen situations like this acquisition before.
Adult Time production has slowed to a crawl recently; Bree Mills has known what’s coming for some time.
No one there believes that these Hungarian and Czechs are going to tolerate the woke nonsense and FUTA and “I Was a Teenage Nonbinary Activist” vanity projects. And Mills loyalists such as Michael Vegas and his corrupt, grotesque wife, Siouxsie Q, had best update their resumés.
The timing of the acquisition announcement, to coincide with President Trump‘s inauguration, is surely not accidental.
