Mainstream success for porn stars usually consists of being nude in a project that isn’t required to have a 2257 statement. I’m sure it’s a personal victory for any porn star if they can get paid to appear on screen without an accompanying penis.
Personally, I’ve never been a big Sasha Grey fan, but you have to give her major accolades for officially taking the whole “porn star going mainstream” thing where no other porn star has gone before. Voiceover work. That’s right… Voiceover work.
Congratulations to you Sasha Grey for breaking through the fully clothed voice actress ex-porn star glass ceiling of showbiz. I’ve never met a porn fan who was excited to “hear” his favorite porn star, but you are definitely an innovator when it comes to porn star trying to shed their fan base the fastest. I would never criticize a porn star for making money anywhere they can, but fans NEVER win when their favorite actress issues a moratorium on ass eating on film in exchange for siting next to a dancing alien at a comic book convention. I believe Ginger Lynn said it best when she went from ‘Toys for Twats’ to ‘NYPD Blue’ in 1993, and then back to ‘Spunk Drunk’.
