Is this the end of Private Skype Shows and Premium SnapChat services for porn stars?

Recently the company being the popular ‘IWant Clips’ website sent out an email notifying users that they will no longer be able to offer fans access to their favorite porn star’s Skype in the form of private Skype shows or sell access to a porn star’s Premium SnapChat. Long story short, lawyers laid the smack down on them and they were given just 10 days to comply.

Dear IWC Users, We were recently contacted by the legal departments at both Skype and Snapchat regarding the sale of personal social media handles. This transaction violates the social network’s privacy terms.

In order to protect the iWant platforms and artists from legal action, we have agreed to cease the sale of such personal information and have two weeks to comply with this directive.

Please be information that after January 21, 2019, iWantEmpire will no longer be able to offer the sale of artist’s social media IDs to its customers.

Social ID access will remain to any customers who have purchased social ID’s but no additional Social ID’s may be sold or purchased after January 21, 2019.

IWant Empire offers porn star services such as IWantClips, IWantSnap, IWantPhone and most recently IWantFanClub, which is basically a clone of OnlyFans.

This may be an end to companies being able to offer premium snapchat access to fans. We suspect other companies offering similar services will follow suit in the near future.

  1. It will be interesting if Snapchat has contacted fancentro , they’re the biggest when it comes pornstars selling their private snaps.

  2. When I heard the news I forwarded to all the Snapchat and Skype network decision-makers I knew. It was news to everyone, which means that neither Snap nor Skype has reached out to any of them (yet).

IWE is American-based, to where a lot of the networks are overseas. Obviously Microsoft is Washington, not sure about Skype. Is the fact that IWE is American-based relevant? I’m not a lawyer, so I’m not the most educated on how being overseas would impact something like this.

Everyone I forwarded the announcement to was sweating a little bit though, that’s for sure!
