With all the recent chatter about porn stars on Instagram, I decided to do some research. I wanted to know just how valuable a porn star’s account is compared to some of the top celebrities.
If you were to believe some, porn stars are worthless and contribute nothing to the platform. I didn’t believe that. I knew in my heart that porn stars are just as valuable as any celeb but I wanted to be able to prove it.
As I’m sure you know, social media influencers have become big business – a billion dollar advertising empire. These companies value the accounts not only on how many followers they have but their percentage of engagement. The more fans engage with a post a person makes, the more valuable that account is overall.
- Selena Gomez – 138 million followers – 3.62% engagement
- Cristiano Ronaldo – 133 million followers – 3.23% engagement
- Beyonce Knowles – 115 million followers – 3.07% engagement
- Kim Kardashian – 113 million followers – 1.51% engagement
- Kylie Jenner – 110 million followers – 3.61% engagement
- Dwayne Johnson – 109 million followers – .80% engagement
- Justin Bieber – 100 million followers – 2.02% engagement
These celebs get major bank for promoting something on Instagram in what is commonly called a “Sponsored Post”. Selena Gomez gets a rumored $800k, while Kylie Jenner takes in $1 million per post. Poor Justin Bieber makes the least out of the bunch, taking in only $630k per post.
But what about porn stars? Well, there is no porn star who has hit the 100+ million follower mark but I was able to put together a list of the hot 35, where we list off their followers and their percentage of engagement.

What stands out the most to me is Lana Rhoades. With 4.3 million followers she has an amazing 9.88% engagement. There’s not a celeb out there who can match those numbers. 9.88% engagement on her posts is incredibly impressive.
Gianna Michaels also has an impressive engagement at 7.05%. These kind of numbers are the exception though. For the most part, porn stars have the same engagement on average as celebs do.
You might notice that some porn star’s engagement numbers are lower than average. For example, Lisa Ann’s engagement numbers are really low, 0.45%. While not always the case, this is often a sign that a person has paid followers, especially when they have millions and can’t anyone to comment or like her posts.

I dont think so, but just to correct : Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed with over 173m.
