It used to be that gay studios used condoms, but did not require testing. Over the past few years there has been a huge explosion of gay bareback producers that are not using condoms, and not doing testing. As they are using primarily HIV+ models they don’t feel the need to test or use condoms. As long as the model is willing to do it, then the producers are willing to pay and film it.
The exception to this seems to be the gay bareback producers that use primarily “gay-for-pay” or straight male models. They tend to do rigorous testing as its the only way they can get HIV negative straight guys to have bareback sex with other guys. For the most part these performers don’t want to have bareback sex, even with testing, with “gay” models as they know its a much higher risk pool.
IMHO….Any male model that is HIV negative and doing gay bareback films, even with testing, is a fool. And any female performer that is doing non-condom scenes with a cross over male model is taking a much greater risk, even with testing.
While HIV is not a gay disease, it is much more prevalent amongst men who have sex with men…especially ones that are gay escorting as well! Men who have sex with men represent less than 5% of the population, but almost 50% of the new HIV cases in the USA.
Once you move out of the realm of the supposedly heavily tested and regulated Porn Valley it has become a free for all!

Are these barebacking gay HIV+ performers getting the appropriate Medical Advice and Information about the risks of this behavior possibly leading to a second strain of HIV infection “superinfection”?? …..after hearing here that performers can just get an email with HIV+ test results, without any follow up from anyone, I wonder how much education on the topic is actually going around in porn world….. Today a rare confirmed case of female-to-female HIV transmission has been reported on.

Laura, they simply just dont care. Not the producers, not the performers, they could not possibly care any less.
