Why aren’t we talking about suitcase pimps … the parasites of porn?!?!

Suitcase pimps are the thing we don’t talk about in the porn industry but is as common as they come. Some have estimated the 1 out of every 5 porn stars have a “suitcase pimp”. I don’t know if the numbers are that extreme, but one thing is certain, there are quite a few of them out there.

So just what is a suitcase pimp?

The simple answer is, a suitcase pimp is any male who doesn’t have a real job and lives off of the earnings his girlfriend (or wife) who works as a porn star makes.

The more complicated and convoluted answer is, that a suitcase pimp is the unemployed boyfriend or maybe even husband of a porn star. The suitcase pimp makes himself appear valuable by taking care of porn star’s personal affairs. He might help her run her twitter or drive her to and from the set. He may make sure that his girl has her favorite flavor of ice cream that she insists she needs or she can’t film her scene that day.

I spoke with a very popular porn star (top 10 popular) this weekend. Her boyfriend suitcase pimp lost his job 3 years ago, just after they got together. He hasn’t worked a real job since. He has lived off of his girlfriend for the last 3 years. She pays the rent, for his cell phone, their vacations, his motorcycle, back child support to his baby’s mothers, now that they are broken up he is demanding his rent paid. He wants everything paid.

I can’t imagine what kind of grown man can live off a woman like that, but he’s not alone. There are a lot of guys just like them in our industry and it’s not okay!

A suitcase pimp will often act as the porn star’s manager, publicist, and often times real life pimp, booking her privates with random John’s on Backpage or through her social media accounts. Sometimes a suitcase pimp will become a male talent or recruiter for legit talent agencies.

Suitcase pimps are not a new phenomenon. They’ve existed as long as their have been porn stars. They are not just isolated to porn either. In fact, they are more common in the world of strippers. Although in the stripper world the boyfriend suitcase pimp is usually relegated to more domestic duties like hand washing g-strings and driving the girl to and from the club.

It’s a parasitic relationship and something we in the industry often turn a blind eye to.

Some producers deal with the problem simply by banning all boyfriends on set. But others just grin and bear it, finding it easier to deal with a douchebag boyfriend that thinks he knows everything than to try and put up with an out of control diva starlet.

In the world of porn, these suitcase pimps are often movers and shakers and you’ll notice they always have a plan or some scheme to make money. Sometimes the ideas are legit, sometimes not so much. I have a hell of a suitcase pimp story that I heard about last year.

A female performer who is currently with a top 3 agency, but isn’t really all that well known attends every industry event, with her suitcase pimp of a boyfriend. This is where they find their marks.

They attend industry events including awards shows and house parties. They do this to try and find their mark. When a dumb ass as been identified, the porn star hits on the guy relentlessly, even though she’s at the event with her boyfriend. The boyfriend doesn’t seem to care. The boyfriend then suggests leaving the event and take the party to the mark’s house. It’s like “hey man this party sucks. Let’s go back to your place.”

If the dumb ass mark agrees they know they’ve hooked him.

When they get back to the dumb asses place, the porn star continues to hit on him hardcore until eventually, she takes him to his bedroom for a good time.

The suitcase pimp at this point either looks for shit to steal from the guy or if they aren’t alone, just keeps on partying as if nothing is happening.

When it’s over the porn star and her suitcase pimp leave as if everything was normal. The next day, however, the mark either wakes up and find some of his shit is missing or if they didn’t steal anything then they run a con on the mark. The porn star calls the dumb ass mark in tears saying her boyfriend said she can’t come back home until she brings him some money for having sex the night before.

The guy is usually like wtf are you talking about? I never agreed to pay you to have sex with me. Why the fuck would I pay? I don’t hire hookers. The girl gets insistent, crying non-stop. The usually goes on until they get the stupid guy to pay her something. From what I hear this scam has been run at least 10 times now.

And yet nobody talks about it. You know why? Because for some reason in this industry, we don’t ever talk about the stupid shit suitcase pimps do. It’s like an unspoken industry rule. It’s something I never understood.

Why aren’t we talking about this?

Why aren’t we saying this isn’t okay. I mean obviously for the crimes being committed but even more important because the suitcase pimp is living off of a porn star. I mean the obvious thing I want to say is ….

MAN UP AND GET A FUCKING JOB!!!!!!

Why are more people not saying that? Even worse, so many people support these douchebag suitcase pimps. Remember the guy I talked about earlier? You know the one who hasn’t had a real job in 3 years? He recently cheated on his girlfriend and when she found out and broke up with his ass, he tried to have her arrested so he could sneak into their apartment and steal the money she had hidden in there.

And you know what is worse? At least 5 people in the industry right now tried to help that fucker!!!!!!!!!!!

That girl earned that money on her back! SHE earned that money. That is HER money. What kind of sick piece of shit would help some guy steal that money from her?

For legal reasons, I can’t even call these pieces of shit out. But rest assured, I will never forget the people involved in that case. For as long as I live and breath I will do what I can from behind the scenes to warn others about avoiding them.

Any client I ever work for or any company I work with, I will always go out of my way to make sure they know about these people.

This isn’t an isolated case. Porn star after porn star has her suitcase pimp by her side. And we are doing nothing about it. We aren’t helping these girls. Why?

Once a suitcase pimp is able to establish himself in the porn industry, through the connections he made with his porn star girlfriend, he becomes far more arrogant than normal and often times will begin cheating on his charge. Eventually, if he starts actually making his own money he will sometimes dump her or move on to his next porn star, maybe someone younger or hotter who can make him more money.

  1. The world\s oldest profession is Prostitution and the 2nd oldest is Pimping. They go hand in hand.

  2. What the fuck is this world coming to, Kelli? If a woman is married, can truly trust her husband, strips full-time (or a mix of stripping and adult film performing that makes up a full-time job) and truly needs the help with scheduling gigs and “security” in the strip club on set in case someone tries to assault her or worse and also can make $200K per year (feature dancer-strippers can do that) I can see her husband working for his wife instead of an outside job but those suitcase pimps that just take advantage of the woman and not do any real work for her (in most cases driving her, carrying her suitcase, being a pest to the director and production assistants and macking on the other female performers doesn’t count) need their heads examined. The guy and his wife that steal and extort from people after conning their way into people’s homes need their heads examined and him his dick and balls cut off with a half-dull rusty fishing knife.

BTW, would a housewife of a male performer be considered a “suitcase pimpette”? Just wondering. 🙂

Finally, there is a BTS in one of the earlier JM Productions “Most Outrageous Outtakes” where supposedly some chick decided to assault a suitcase pimp and the female performer associated with said pimp started beating on the chick. That chick’s pimp comes to the defense of his “charge”. Of course the chick that started the brawl’s own suitcase pimp started assaulting the other performer’s suitcase pimp, it ended up that one guy was knocked out unconscious just outside the house, it took three people to split up the women and Johnny Thrust (former JM director Jim Powers’ longtime production manager, I have read that Johnny now works as a production manager on mainstream film sets and I wonder if he macks on Jodie Foster, Reese Witherspoon and Kirsten Dunst like he did on porn women when working for JM) loses his cool and tells people to (paraphrased) either grow up or get the fuck off of his set. This was one of the early Lesbian Bukkake sets before Jim limited the number of female bukkake mopes on set to a reasonable and controllable number. It didn’t help that JM bought cases of “light” beer and most of the performers on set were drinking themselves into a stupor (it might work fine when there are 8-10 people on set but when the number is closer to 60 something usually goes wrong just like at the frat parties you may have attended at college or university).

  3. They don’t talk about it for the same reason that music producers don’t advise newly-minted music stars NOT to buy a bunch of houses/cars on credit when they get their first big advance. It consistently puts the producers of porn in an advantageous position to remain silent. I’ve always said that if someone could prove their honesty, there is a big demand for a low-percentage financial adviser/manager in both porn and popular music industries, but you would probably be threatened with violence by someone from those industries for trying to disrupt the power dynamic.

  4. Washing g strings? Lmbao. Now I see why Syren de Mer is no longer w Matt. A guy in Houston told me Dee Siren’s husband pimps her out. Janet Mason has a suitcase pimp too?
