  1. I’m old enough to have read Screw. Like a bad car wreck, it was revolting and enticing all at the same time. Without Goldstein, there would have been no Larry Flynt (who was briefly my publisher on a magazine having nothing whatsoever to do with sex) nor mainstream pornography industry. Don’t know if those are good things, but it’s unlikely there will ever be another like him.

  2. A shame – I met him when we had him at the AVN Awards – he did what amounted to stand-up on stage during the show – hysterical stuff!

  3. Thank you. I’m glad at least one person found it funny!! The best part is every bit of that is true. I do think those exact same things…

I don’t know why it’s showing the comments closed? I probably screwed something up when posting it??? Hopefully, Mike will fix it for me! 😀

  4. From the videos on YouTube regarding Midnight Blue, Al Goldstein seemed to be entertaining but caustic at the same time. RIP Al. I wish I had enough balls and money to start a TV show like Midnight Blue so I could rant and rave for an adoring public.

Also, I wonder if Melissa Manchester got the name of her song Midnight Blue from Al. She lived in NYC at the time and the song came out in the mid 70’s IIRC.
