It looks more and more like Stormy Daniels reneged on her ‘hush agreement’ to get a better deal!
On a more serious note, if this is a leak originating from the Mueller raid on Michael Cohen’s office, then what we have here is a rogue prosecutor snatching confidential information and leaking it to the press.
President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen arranged for a $1.6 million payment to a Playboy Playmate in 2017 to keep secret her sexual relationship with a Trump ally, during which she became pregnant.
Venture capitalist Elliott Broidy admitted Friday to paying a model who said she was pregnant with his child, has stepped down from his post on the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) finance team.
The Hill reports:
Sources familiar with the discussions confirmed to The Hill that RNC chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel accepted Broidy’s resignation Friday from his post as the RNC’s deputy finance chairman. The Wall Street Journal first reported his resignation.
Broidy confirmed the affair to the Journal and admitted that he “offered to help her financially” after she told him “she did not want to continue with the pregnancy.”
A former Playboy model, Karen McDougal, has described having a 10-month affair with Trump, which the White House has said Trump denies. McDougal said her lawyer at the time secretly negotiated with Cohen on a deal with American Media Inc, publisher of the National Enquirer, which paid her $150,000 in 2016 to keep quiet.
The revelations about Elliott Broidy comes only days after the FBI raided the office of, and other locations belonging to, Cohen, acting in part on a referral from Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and allegations of collusion by associates of President Trump.
A news report in the Washington Post says that the raid sought, in part, records relating to payments made to women who claimed to have had affairs with Trump.
In related news, federal investigators are demanding even more documents—records of any communications between Cohen and two top executives of the National Enquirer tabloid newspaper, NBC News reported on Thursday. National Inquirer parent American Media Inc. signed a non-disclosure agreement with Playmate Karen McDougal, paying her $150,000 to keep quiet about her alleged sexual relationship with Trump.
