The End of an Era

Say what you will about Senator Ted Kennedy, his passing marks the end of an era.

I am afraid that I am old enough to remember nearly all of the Kennedy brothers and the impact they made on American politics.  I remain convinced that if Bobby had “gone on to Chicago” that Nixon would not have been President, Vietnam would have ended years and many lives earlier.  That would have changed the American chemistry and what followed and what we are living through now may have been far different.

So as the Senator said “Some men see things as they are and say why.
I dream things that never were and say why not.”

  1. Senator T. Kennedy was passionate, determined and influential. His ability, over half a century, to persuade opponents to compromise their morals / values in favor of his and his membership in Americans dynasty, will certainly provide him a prominent place in history.

Though his war on individualism will undoubtedly continue, a lion has fallen, an error is done.
