Do Prostitution Laws Do More Harm Than Good?:

By making prostitution illegal it appears to me we do more harm than good. The worlds oldest profession isn’t going to go away so keeping it illegal drives it underground. Prostitutes have no safe place to work and are often robbed, assualted or worse by their “customers”. Under legalization they have a place to work, they can feel safe and they can safely report crimes against them to the police. I think it is way past time we rethink this issue and legalize it. It makes no sense at all for it to be a crime to sell something that is perfectly legal to give away. Womens advocacy groups should be all for this, it is after all the womans right to choose is it not?

As is the case with drugs keeping it illegal just makes it lucrative for criminals to exploit. Lets empower the people and let them choose how to live and what is right for them.
