Georgia teacher and cheerleading coach busted for sex with student, heroin possession

This report brought to you by the Beavers of Whitfield County (see below).

TUNNEL HILL, Ga. — A northwest Georgia high school teacher is accused of possessing heroin on campus and having a year-long sexual relationship with a student.

High school English teacher, cheerleading coach and — let’s admit it — total hottie Raquel Eleana Spencer, 28, was arrested Wednesday when a school resource officer found an illegal drug in her belongings at Northwest Whitfield High School in Tunnel Hill.

Students and staff noticed Spencer acting erratically before telling school officials, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported, which prompted action by the school resource officer (SRO).

“Since the safety of our students and staff is a top priority in our schools, the SRO asked the teacher if she would consent to a search. The teacher consented to the search. The officer found an illegal substance which led to her arrest,” Whitfield County Schools spokesman Eric Beavers told the Dalton Daily Citizen.

Beavers (yes, that’s really his name) said the search was triggered by a report of unusual behavior.

Sheriff’s Office Capt. Paul Woods said Thursday that an investigation revealed Spencer had a sexual relationship with a student that began at least a year ago, when the student was a juvenile.

She’s charged with possession of heroin and sexual assault by a person with supervisory or disciplinary authority. Beavers (lol) said Spencer submitted her resignation Wednesday.

Spencer had worked at the school since 2013, as an English teacher, and the assistant cheerleading and girls track and field coach. If you think she looks cute now. . .

Local news video tends to confirm that, despite her alleged drug use, she has more teeth than the average parent in Whitfield County.

Kicking in County Jail

Spencer was arrested and taken to the Whitfield County Correctional Center. She is believed to have been under the influence of narcotics when she was arrested, Whitfield County Sheriff Scott Chitwood said.

“Her doing heroin in school? Yeah, it’s terrible,” said parent Lisa Beavers (yes, that’s really her name.)

It’s unclear whether Spencer has a lawyer.

Beavers are geniuses, according to National Geographic.
