Let’s talk about the latest HIV patient zero

There are so many rumors out there and it’s scaring people. I want to try and clear up some of those rumors.

FACT: someone in the adult industry now has tested HIV positive and we have no clue who it is.

It doesn’t matter if he got it on the set of an Evil Angel production or in someone’s garage while filming a scene for his ManyVids account. In the end, this person is an adult performer is now HIV positive.

The problem is, even if we knew his name, the law prohibits us from even revealing it.

And even worse, the newest law in California takes this bullshit a step further and says even if this person who has HIV decides not to tell anyone and still knowingly spreads it to others, he’s no longer a criminal.

But God forbid we dare to tell anyone who he is, we all face serious legal troubles.

Forget about the safety and well being of everyone else, we don’t dare want to risk hurting this guy’s feeling.

I’m not saying this guy is going to go around giving people HIV. I’m just saying he could and not face any criminal charges.

Now the rest of us are at risk because there is no way to really know for sure if you were at risk if you don’t know not only who is HIV positive but all the people he had sex with.

The new rumor is this guy was at Exxxotica Denver and did several “content trades”. How many people did those people he had sex with then have sex with other people and they would then have sex with other people?

If you had sex with anyone at Exxxotica Denver a few weeks ago you are now at risk. Period. So go get tested. Even if you only had sex with one person while there, you don’t know if they had sex with someone else while there.

For that matter, if you’ve had sex with anyone who was at Exxxotica Denver since they’ve been home, you are potentially at risk. So go get tested.

The FSC has to say there are no on set transmissions, it’s a legal thing. But for the rest of us, we know that things have changed. “On set” is no longer the same as what it used to be before.

We have girls out there making more money with their OnlyFans and ManyVids/Clips4Sale websites than they are paid through traditional means. Still, they are being paid to have sex and that makes it on set. A “set” is a “set”.

I’m not here for all the politically correct bullshit. I’m here to tell you what I can based on reality, not what is the politically correct way to say it.

We may never know who patient zero is so the only thing you can do right now is to go get tested again and stop doing content trades without a verifiable test.

  1. Maybe you should familiarize yourself with the HIPPA Privacy Rule. You jackasses in porn would probably identify the wrong person and permanently ruin someone’s life. When are you fools in porn going to realize that a clean test result is only good for the ONE day you were tested on.

  2. There is a difference between keeping privacy rules for a soccer mom or teacher and keeping it private for a person that has sex for a living and can infect many people in a short period of time who then give it to all the people they have sex with in a short period of time thereby making it an epidemic. This is further compounded if the infected person does not tell anyone they are HIV+,

  3. “This is further compounded if the infected person does not tell anyone they are HIV+,”

That is exactly why the industry needs to incentivize partner notification by protecting the privacy of newly infected performers.
