Who will be the AVN Trophy Girls At This Years @avnawards? #AVNTrophyGirls

On November 16th we get to find out not only who the AVN Award nominees are but also who they selected as this year’s AVN Trophy Girls.

Typically AVN trophy girls are selected via a Twitter submission process.

For consideration, female talent must tweet their sexiest photos to the official AVN Awards Twitter account, @AVNAwards, with the hashtag #AVNTrophyGirls. To be eligible, all candidates must have entered the adult industry in 2017. Submissions will be accepted until November 3 at 11:59 p.m. Two candidates will be selected to take on this highly visible and prestigious assignment for rising stars in the industry. AVN will announce the two winners at the 2018 AVN Awards Nomination Announcement Party on November 16.

So just who are some of the girls who threw their hat into the ring this year? Let’s take a look. I thought for fun I would try and figure out who was an wasn’t eligible based on the given ANN rules but with some of the webcam girls, it’s really not so easy.

Nowhere in the rules does it say you have to be in porn, so I’m not sure if the webcam girls count. Though it is known as the “adult video news” so do webcam girls qualify? Not sure. I would think not but then again the co-host of the show this year is a popular webcam model.  The problem with webcam girls are, they aren’t well known like their movie star counterparts and it’s hard to know exactly when they started. If the rule is you have to have started in the industry in 2017, how can you really know for sure with a cam girl? It’s not like you can pinpoint the release of their first movie like you can a porn performer. So for that reason, I’ve isolated the webcam girl’s from the porn starlets.

In all, I was able to pull up 59 people who applied, by sorting through the hashtag tweets for #avntrophygirls. That’s way more than I would have thought. I would have to be the guy over at AVN who has to sort through that list and figure out which two submissions are best.

Of the 59 submissions, only 13 actually started their careers in 2017. Those 13 porn performers who actually qualify for the AVN Trophy Girl selection are ….
