AVN is the latest media organization to take notice of Karla Lane’s breakthrough performance in PureTaboo.com‘s “The Weight of Infidelity” as they’ve given her a nomination for ‘Best Actress – Featurette.’
“The Weight of Infidelity” cast Karla as Karen, who is having an affair with the married John, played by Tommy Pistol. Angela White (who also wrote the story) plays Angie, who realizes John’s affair and manipulative ways. Karen and Angie devise a revenge plan against John, who doesn’t suspect a thing. Karla’s portrayal of Karen had fans, critics, and industry talking, and introduced the veteran to a wider audience.
Karla couldn’t contain her excitement for these nominations. She commented, “I’m very excited about my nomination for Best Actress in the Featurette category, I couldn’t be happier. I’m truly honored to be the first plus-size performer to ever be nominated for an AVN Award in an acting category. None of this could have been possible without Angela White and Bree Mills creating this project for Pure Taboo and choosing me for the role.”
Karla’s excitement is matched by co-star Angela White, who said, “It was an honor working with Karla on this important featurette. Karla’s acting was simply outstanding! She brought her character to life with courage and conviction. I was proud to have Karla as my co-star, whose affirming, body-positive message is as compelling as her sexual prowess.”
